What is Shan Cha?
Shan Cha is a premium performance tea brand created around focus, calm energy and preparation. Our teas are designed to become part of your ritual before work, study, training or competition.
What is Performance Focus?
Performance Focus is our premium Taiwanese oolong tea ritual for calm clarity. It is smooth, refined and steady, designed for deep work, study, training and moments that require composed concentration.
What is Performance Drive?
Performance Drive is our premium Taiwanese black tea ritual for bold, clean energy. It is stronger and more direct, designed for early starts, high-output sessions, training and competition days.
What is the difference between Focus and Drive?
Focus is smoother, lighter and more calming. Drive is stronger, deeper and more energising. Choose Focus when you want calm clarity. Choose Drive when you want a bolder lift.
Does Shan Cha contain caffeine?
Yes. Focus and Drive are real teas and naturally contain caffeine. Focus is generally smoother and more balanced, while Drive has a stronger black tea character.
Will Shan Cha make me feel jittery?
Most people find tea feels smoother than coffee because tea naturally contains L-theanine as well as caffeine. However, caffeine affects people differently, so start with a smaller serve if you are sensitive.
How do I brew Focus?
Use 1 teaspoon of tea per cup. Brew with hot water around 80-85°C for 2-3 minutes. You can adjust the strength by using more tea or brewing slightly longer.
How do I brew Drive?
Use 1 teaspoon of tea per cup. Brew with hot water around 90-95°C for 2-4 minutes. Brew longer for a stronger, bolder cup.
When should I drink Shan Cha?
We recommend drinking Shan Cha before moments that require preparation and focus: work, study, training, competition, travel or high-output days.
How many cups can I make from one tin?
Premium loose-leaf tea can be re-steeped. As a guide, 1 teaspoon of Shan Cha tea can usually make at least 3 cups by adding more hot water to the same leaves. Strength will vary depending on your taste, brew time and how many times you re-steep the leaves.
Where does Shan Cha tea come from?
Our Focus oolong and Drive black tea are Taiwanese teas selected for their flavour, character and performance ritual positioning.
Do you add sugar, flavouring or artificial ingredients?
No. Shan Cha performance teas are premium loose-leaf teas without added sugar, flavouring or artificial ingredients.
Do you ship within Australia?
Yes. Shan Cha ships within Australia. Shipping options and costs are shown at checkout.
Do you offer free shipping?
Free shipping is available on orders over $99.95.
Can I return tea?
For food safety reasons, opened tea cannot usually be returned. If there is an issue with your order, contact us and we will help resolve it.
